Michael Wacha, the Cardinals' top selection in the 2012 draft, tweeted that he is set to fly to St. Louis to undergo a physical Wednesday. The Cardinals drafted the Texas A&M right-hander with the 19th overall selection in this year's draft.
MLB recommends a bonus of $1.9MM for the 19th overall selection, according to Baseball America. BA considered Wacha one of the year's top draft eligible college pitchers. His repertoire includes the best changeup in the draft and a fastball that sits in the 90-93 mph range, according to the publication.
