WEDNESDAY, 7:49am: Price obtained $10.1MM for 2013, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports (on Twitter).

TUESDAY, 5:45pm: Price will get a shade over $10MM, according to Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune (on Twitter).

4:37pm: The Rays and David Price have reached agreement on a one-year deal to avoid arbitration, a baseball source told Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com.  Terms of the deal are not yet known for the American League Cy Young Award winner.

Price earned $4.35MM last season and was projected to $9.5MM in 2013 according to Matt Swartz's arbitration model developed exclusively for MLBTR. The left-hander was arbitration eligible for the second time this winter thanks to his Super Two status.  Price is scheduled to hit the open market after the 2015 season.

The 27-year-old posted a 2.56 ERA with 8.7 K/9 and 2.5 BB/9 in 31 starts for Tampa Bay last season.
